A homegrown signature event supported by the government

BORNEO SEVENS

The Borneo Sevens is a homegrown signature event that is fully supported by the government to promote Sandakan as a tourism and sports destination of international standard. Known as ‘The Greenest Sevens in the World’, the Borneo Sevens is the perfect competition venue that offers opportunities to compete and explore one of the best nature and wildlife destinations in the world.

For the more adventurous, Sandakan is the place to be when you want to see and experience nature close-up and in its wild and raw form. One can really get discreetly close to wild animals such as the pygmy elephants, orang utans and other species that roam the lush hinterland of Sandakan.

The tournament truly lives up to the tag of being The Greenest Sevens In The World.
