From rugby pitch to the forest, Borneo 7s Leaves a Living Legacy for Sandakan SANDAKAN, March 28, 2026 – Eagles Rugby Club today planted 52 trees comprising 16 native species at Rainforest Discovery Centre (RDC) Sandakan, as part of the Borneo 7s Green Legacy Initiative carried out in partnership with the Sabah State Forestry Department, event sponsors, selected players and community leaders.

An additional sustainability effort of the tournament, three electric vehicles, Proton e.mas7 sponsored by Fook Loi will also be used to ferry officials and players to the venue to ensure that carbon impacts are minimised.
